over the past couple of years ive bought two
complete  bikes both for under $500
i dont think id spend any more than $600 for one,
unless it had something exceptional to it.

saying that,  i hope who ever did buy it puts it all back
together again for another runner.

There's certainly something fishy going on with this bike.
According to the bid histories, he / they were trumped by a previous bid that was placed 3 days beforehand, so we may actually see it go to another buyer this time.

Going to make a note of this seller to see if it crops up again with anything else.
That is a lot of risk taking to get a measly 30 bucks more than last time.

If some of the auction bids are being lodged by friends and cohorts , then bidding in the early stages will only serve to allow them to keep pumping and blowing out the maximum bid amounts of any genuine buyers.Take care Dale.Who knows....we may just see this up for auction again in another month or so.

I could be wrong but it s funny how there s no adverse feedback from the seller or buyer on the last time it sold at auction by the same seller.Could be a case of some shifty bidding by said seller or friends trying to push the price up.
It sold for $660.00 by this same seller on December 11th 2010 with plenty of bidders early on ..just the same  way this auction has been going........... as i have been watching it from the day it was listed. There was no" buy it now" or" reserve" on the last time this seller sold this collection..........it was definately SOLD!!...........BUYER BEWARE.!!................as they say.
An xs1100 owner i know via a friend of a friend was a little bit miffed to say the least to see the same seller, pics, bike and parts up for sale yet again.
An Auction is an Auction..and if that falls through for some reason......thats what feedback is all about...........leaving the sale to the next nearest bidder (the said friend of a friend)....on the "second chance offer" arrangement.

This one was listed in December and looked to be sold, but it's back again from the same seller.
Good project / parts bike
