I bought a set of the SBS ones from my local bike shop ($35 / caliper) back in 2004 when I first got my XS1100RH outfit, because the pads it came with were about half worn out.

15,000km later, they are still about half worn out. Don't know what brand they are, but I'm starting to get worried about wearing the bike out before the pads ;-)

In addition to the SBS items stocked by most bike shops, I've used standard EBC pads on other bikes and been very happy with them.

I'm currently running a set of SBS sintered pads which I'm really impressed with. Very good in the rain and noticably better than the last set of brembo's I tried. Cost about $32 per caliper.
Mind you, mine's a Special which is a completely different animal.
Are these for your Standard or your sons RH?
