I have to clue up the previous owner of my bike.
Sent off an email to Roger Heyes and just got a responce, bummer.
I wonder who raced it ???, I'm sure he said Roger and Team Avon.

Hi Ken
My XS-1100 castrol winning bike was sold to a freind of mine until he died a couple of years ago,i arranged the sale of the bike to a freind called Malcom Pitman from S.A.
He is restoring the bike back to its race specs from 1978.
The bike was registed in 1978 so we could run the bike in on the road.
Sorry but i dont think your bike was my Castrol bike.

Sorry Roger

Oh Well  :(

Hello all......  :)

Anyone have any stills / images they can mail on to me please of the Avon XS1100 No 3 Winner ridden by Jim Budd and Roger Heyes in 1978 Amaroo Park ?

I've been searching the net and I'm not  coming up with anything of any standard other then the Pitman Yam which is not the one I want...

All images considered 'black and white or colour' or links would be great, or if any of you guys took any pictures at Amaroo Park and the bike in them is the above.  I would be eternally grateful if you could scan them and forward on........  dada@atlas.co.uk

Yours in anticipation and Thanks.

Gary
