I always thought that the rubber mount decided whether or not it was a 2 wire or 1 wire. If there is an insulator or vibration (rubber mount) damper, it would require the second wire to earth (ground).

Blinkers are on and working with only one wire for power at each corner, earthing through mounting brackets, no wire.

Hey Paul, like JEFF said, electroectamy all the after market LED wiring, get back to the baseline configuration, use one of your other bikes as a guide. And just copy the wiring. Hey presto, problem solved.

Why don t you start by removing all the non standard wiring and connectors/ connections.
Unless the original harness wiring and connectors have been tampered with ...just reconnect back into them.
Or..is there more info you need to divulge ?
Maybe some pics of all the areas of concern might help.

Why do i ask? I'm an electrical heathen replacing an LED blinker system that has power and earth on all 4 corners with OEM globe type blinkers. The LED system has a myriad of extra wires, some are tapped into the unused factory connectors next to the tci black box, and i want to be rid of them

The USA 2h7 models ...did not have dual filament front indicators...this was a 2h9 arrangement....seen in Australia..the UK Germany and South Africa.

I vaguely recall seeing an extra switch block on the underside of the USA 2h7 indicator switch...for hazard light operation.
Footnote; This was something I recall seeing as a used item for sale on ebay....many moons ago ....it may have been something custom made ...I m not inferring it was OEM equipment.

But....i have learn t from my past errors and must inquire.....Jonesy why do you ask ?

Front yes, rear has 2 wires, one to + the other to black -Ve earth.

The units with 2 wires could also be the front (US) blinkers, they sometimes had running lights, dual filament globes.

Blinkers earth through the frame/mounting (no wire) and just one wire for power going in. Running lights excluded for this scenario
