Thanks Cooper.
My punch list has been long and it can get a bit confusing Jeff, that was the worst problem solved, it was more of a chew it up and spit it out noise, intermittent and somewhat scary.
These other noises have been there since I got the bike on the road and don't seem to have deteriated over thousands of k's so I'm hoping I have plenty more time to figure it out.

Thanks Bryan Eddie, it has come along way, but still has some to go. Be a lot less work if I actually knew what I was doing lol
Might have to do another one once I work that out.
Few of you will have to try the seat out so we can take some quesses what these gearbox Issues are?
Sooooooo,,,,,I thought you had found a nefarious bolt that was causing the grinding issue ?

Very nice Brett,

Dusty has come along way from a "thrown" together Frankenbike someone put together in a rush to you getting it and rebirthing him?/her? Into the slick looking machine it is today. I tip my hat to you.

Sorry for the lack of posting many updates over the last couple of years. We moved back to the coast out Jervis Bay way and the current setup means sitting on the floor to use the desktop computer. Don't even know how to navigate windows 10. Facebook on the ipad has been much easier.
Anyway finally got around to taking a few decent pics of the bike and wanted to update all on where I was.
After the last rally I went to in 2015 I figured it was time to do a strip and rebuild of the bike.
Hell of a lot of the work was stripping the engine of paint, decided not to repaint yet as I was not pulling engine apart but have an idea on a 80% black with polished accents. It also got new bearings in steering and swingarm. Frame tail looped and new seat. Wiring 95% stripped and new minimal wiring. The frame was blasted and painted. Forks got a once over with new seals.
New braided brake lines New indicators, headlight and handlebars. Think the lines are coming together ok. I planned on the seat being a little higher but its still rides pretty good. Oh, the airbox was finally ditched for pods and very happy its running pretty good. Maybe someone can tune it in better than me but I think its pretty good.
Last real mechanical issue is, lets say minor gearbox issues, 1st is noisy at certain times 4th similar but very minimal and 5th has a strange backlash. Ive inspected to some degree but my limited knowledge of boxes isn't getting me far.
I decided to paint myself as my luck would have it the dollars spent would be ruined by dropping it so I went for a fairly simple white with black stripes.
Also had the XJR1300 exhaust and bluespot brakes as previous mods.
Think that's about all, here are some pics.
