rear hub dust seal

sorry mate,, missed the significance of the rule  , was looking to close at the seal itself

Mate - its ID has grown in diameter by more than 10mm!!!!
it basically "fell off" the hub when i took the wheel off
I was having some oil/grease sling onto the wheel so lets change it.....
it may well be the diff seal of course - time will tell

apart from some slight fraying of the inner edge of the wiper seal on the old one I can't see any real prob,,

was it letting dust into the hub? or replacing it "just because"

the photo might not be showing the severity of wear,, but going on that seal on my bike, I'd clean it up, give it a light wipe with rubber grease so it will seal again and re-instal it

decided to replace the rear hub dust seal (1J7-25319-02-00)
