I'm cleaning/buffing the alloy outer on my wheels in preperation of being painted on Monday, by Wicked Wheels.
On the rear wheel I have removed the disk, then I have undone the 6 14mm nuts that hold on to the internal diff/wheel drive, when I went to undo the bolts at the other end, I'm struggling with my rattle gun, I thought that it would crack them loose but they seem the same torque/tension as it's undoing so I have stopped.
Are they meant to be tight all the way out?
BTW Polishing the outer alloy and the inner thin strips on the mags sucks, tyres removed, I have a buffing wheel that goes onto my Makita 4 inch grinder and I'm chewing the shit out of it.
Cheers
Lou
