Description
This bike is the XS1100 featured in OBA #43. Completely original. See issue for all the pics.
US import via Richard Scoular of Classic Bikes Direct.
I would be surprised if another one as original is available anywhere.
Only 12550 km from new, so it really is barely run in.
New Pirelli Sport Demon tyres
New seals in final drive.
Shims all checked and carbs refurbished, then balanced.
New battery when bought 12 mths ago.
All oils renewed.
New instrument rubbers.
Goes like a rocket, as you would expect.
Brakes like a modern bike - well, a Triumph Tiger 955 anyway....
Handles like the XS11 did, so well enough to win many races [not that I'd recommend it on our roads.....]
Seat, pipes etc all as new.
This bike first sold in Massachusetts USA, then Georgia, then here.
On non-transferable club plates, so will be sold unregistered.
Club rego is only around $100 pa, so cheap enjoyment of a very collectable machine is to be had.
Selling to make space for a new folly [T150V].......this one is far too reliable.
