hi jim,
ive been running pods on my 81 for a few yrs now,
before i put the dyno jet kit thru it,
i ran 115 main jets,  i tried running 117.5 and got a miss
at just of idle, i also tried using 120 jets and got a miss off idle
and another miss at around 3 quarter throttle.
i also had the needles set at the 2nd notch from the top.

hope this helps a bit.

Another option would be to take your hose to your local hobby shop and check out the radio control gas engine airfilters for size. Some are paper or you can get oiled foam as well.Don't know if they'll be cheaper though.

Supercheap Autos sell small filter kits with rubber adaptors in them. However, fumes when pulled up at lights can be embarassing. Have used 6mm tube from drip irrigation kit and grommets to plumb crank breather in to back of pods.

i used a long length of hose up the frame over the tool box and down - used kitchen grade scotch brite as foam drilled thru and secured using a zip tie
sorry no pics

it would be highly recommended in our area up here mate to have that breather filled with foam to stop our little insects getting into the motor,or building mud nests in there,,,,,,my first thought would be to get a piece bout 1" long and place it inside with a zippy tie pulled tight  {to make a waist} halfway along to stop it moving  IMHO,,,,,,,,JAT

Yeah know what you mean  ;D might just leave the original hose on as it disappears up near the battery and can't be seen, anybody run pods and have any probs.? Loaded question I know as everybody has different ideas but feedback is appreciated.... Thank god for the spell check or the good administrator  8)

Hey Jim,

when I run the pods on my "78E I have a length of black auto heater hose (because it has the correct internal diameter and is very thick and and looks business like on the beast) 8)

It runs out the left side of course and then down between the frame and the muffler/foot peg bracket. I am running a 4 into 1 set of pipes so I don't know if a left muffler would interfere with that route. :-\ You get the idea though huh?

Turned out to be throttlebody jamming and not returning all the way down. Bit of bending where the cable joins and all fixed. Starts and purrs now, not roaring  :D  Now any ideas as what to do with the case breather as I have put pod air filters on???

Check your bands around the carb-engine rubbers, you can get the throttle caught up on the tightening screws (DAMHIKIJD)  :-X
