I have finally done the math on the Bourke trip...
door to door    2115km
fuel used          168.232 litres
thats 12.57km/l or 7.955 l per 100km

and this was my average speed for the trip  :o :o :o

You need to get that speedo fixed :P Love the video work  :)

I would like to say a big thanks to you all for making the group so much more than I ever dreamed it would turn out to be. Without all of you there would not be the XS1100 Australia group.
Thanks all

Speaking of kind words of appreciation, I'm kinda embarrassed by my name coming up alongside Geoffs and Michelles where the organisation of the rally has been lauded by all the guys (and gals) who attended. Michelle and Geoff are responsible for 99.99 percent of the experience. I only did a bit of brainstorming with them when I was over helping Geoff out with his trailer construction, so please give the credit where credit's due.
Michelle and Geoff made us all very happy and well fed campers through the event, so three cheers for them (and a few beers too!)

I'd also like to thank Eddy for his efforts on the grill at mealtimes, with Michelle and Geoff toiling away in the kitchen. He was there from when the first risers wandered over for brekkie, till the last person has eaten his fill. You cook a mean snag, mate.

Finally, I'd like to thank my co-conspirators in our surprise (for Christian) website funding auction which we held to offset the cost of hosting this fine website, which had till now been totally coming out of Xtians pocket, so there's some back at you, mate.
So thanks to Bryan, Jonesey, Dale, Eddy, George, and Mr and Mrs Steptoe for providing the goods donated.
Also, very special commendations for our EXStremely impromptu auctioneer, Little Scotty. Thanks heaps, mate!

Actually, my final final thank you's go to all who attended the rally. You're a great bunch and hopefully I'll see you all next year.
Ride safe , fellas.
