Hey Tim
was good to finally put a face to the name at the Get together.
Both your problems are an easy fix. one is cheap (fuel lines) readily available at your local auto shop. Not quite sure what you mean about series of short hoses? your "Standard" tank and taps should have just a one piece fuel hose per tap to each tee on the carbys
The coils are a bit more exy, about $170 for a pair of coils, leads and plug caps from Z1 enterprises in the US a few bucks up front but shouldn't have to worry about ém for another 30 years

rally review look over the monster

Hi all  well the rally was a great sucess  the ride to Bourke had its hicupps  the ride home was easy
had a look over the bike today   what a mess  wondered why it was popping and farting the other day ,
the fuel lines  weren't  sealing to the petcock nozzle properly   , the fuel line is a series of  short lengths joined to a T piece and a few hose clamps  :(  on closer inspection   of the coils  I watched a intermitent spark jump from the plug lead and arc out to the frame
had a good look at this and found the shielding on the leads was old and detereiated and a sheath tube was holding it together and the monster used a bit of oil  but nothing major   a bit  of work to do and the old girl will be ready to roll
