think of all the upper body excercise you'll be missing out on. ;D

Perhaps in your later life you can always join a low impact pilates class. ???

good luck Chris and stay in touch as once bitten by the XS1100 bug it will resurface. :D

I think the bsa being MUCH lighter will be more user friendly later on in life and as I live on a down hill road I won't even have to kick start it:-)

Hi guys, returned from the vjmc rally and my carb kits had arrived so today I fitted only the float seat and needles,  bench check no leaks, carbs mounted to bike, fill bowls with fuel and hit the starter, fired right up, set the idle to 1150 and all good, does need a carb balance though.
Have listed the bike in the for sale section in case anyone here interested, at the moment I just can't see me being able to spend the dollars to restro it, other projects demand my attention .... and money,...... guess I could sell the old BSA instead  :-\

I'd like to thank those that helped me with this bike by way of advise, links and hands on help.

cheers.chris
