Thanx for the reply, i can get new ones for around the same price but
they wont exchange for any cheaper,
thought id just try on here first.
Its a spare head ive serviced, so i wasnt in any rush.

Hey Peter,

remember back to late last year we gave this some thought.
If you look in the parts forum I replied to your thread "valve shims" with a very cheap source for them so that members might make up a set for themselves.
The $ exchange rate is very good at the moment.
I'd help you out with one if I could but because I rebuilt mine a few years ago my gaps only go to 260 shims and my spares only go up to 280.

The other alternative is to go to a bike shop with your 270 and exchange it for a 290. My local yamaha dealer charges $8 for an exchange shim.

hey guys,
im after a cpl of valve shims,
ive got a 13 thou gap that i want to reduce to 9 thou,
its currently got a 275 shim,
was thinking a 290 shim or there abouts
any 1 got 1 spare?
