Yes, mate. The early model had running lights in the front indicators, hence the two wires going to them. The rears are just the normal single wire setup. Does your bikes wiring have two wires (one active and one earth) going to the indicators or have you (as I found out) have one live, switched through the ignition, plus a live activated by the indicator switch?

At a pinch, you could just use the single wire ones on the front even if you have the running light harness. Just identify which feed wire does what, then hook up the one from the indicator switch. Both types of lights are earthed through the body.

Need to buy front and rear turn signals XS1100E. Have searched EBay and various suppliers, my question is???? Whilst searching I have come across turn signals with two wires and some with a signal wire, is one for the front and one for the rear? or does it matter at all?

One step closer to completing the project
Unable to compare with the ones I had as they were thrown away some 15 years ago.
Many thanks in advance. :o
I've been riding Yamahas since 1976. Only other bike was a Honda CB900F 1978.
last bike ridden XS1100RH 83 1995 sold the bike to fund an O/S trip. Have a XS1100E for 12 yrs and ready to restore.
