Rally was great. About 100 - 120 hardy souls, pretty cold overnight but the company was great.

The road in to the site over the top of the Brindabellas [The hills behind Canberra] was frozen in long section resulting in many spills and at least one bruised or broken foot [sufferer was last seen heading for Newcastle 5 hours away]

I myself also managed to sit on my arse in the middle of the ice with only a bruised bum for my trouble.

Pics are from 2010 but the road was the same this year.

can,t exactly remember what goes wrong with my bike at those temps,, ::) something on the bike stops operating ??? :-X

there is no emotion-icon for envy......dammit
However...its a long weekend here in Qld.....
I will be doing the trip from Brisbane to Hivesvile for a 50th birthday on Sunday - returning Monday
a few beers with mates, a camp fire on the farm....

Saturday 9 June Min -5   Max 13   Morning frost. Mostly sunny..

of course the XS1100 fraternity will be well represented I hope
