Hi Ken. It would be an ideal base bike for your restoration skills. As Phil XS1.1 would attest, it is a major advantage to start with a good running bike and go from there, as opposed to having to contend with an engine rebuild first, then go from there. Steptoe's tuned this motor and his comments are online here somewhere, and I've seen the bike which is quite good in the flesh and would only require cosmetic adjustments to bring it back to stock. Oh, by the way, the headlight and mounts are much easier to source than the "rare as hens teeth" units fitted to the RH's.
