I like it! Done the funnel trick in the past. Like you said, slow & messy. Don't like the idea of those screw on oilers either. Too much of a chance to squash the outer and render the cable useless. Shall give it a go today. Great idea, mate!

here you go,  guaranteed the cleanest, cheapest and fastest rig on the planet for lubricating your clutch cable.  Or your $2.55 refunded lol

INSTRUCTIONS!  :Free up both cable ends.  Friction fit the rubber hoses together dry.   Pressurize the syringe and oil and wire up the plunger to keep the pressure on.

  Don't gorilla the pressure too hard-out or else the hose will pop off.   You can get HEAPS of pressure without trying to crank it to 75,000 tons per square inch.    Run a test without oil in the syringe to get the feel first.

Set it good and leave it all sitting for a while.   Before long the oil's appeared out the other end of the cable.  Just like magic.  You can even use thick gluggy chain-oil.  Sweet as.  Clutch lever feels slick afterwards.   




P.S. check out my previous gravity fed gadget,  but lost patience waiting for it to drip.  Sat it with engine oil 20W/40 for 3 or 4 days and never got a drop all the way through.  Maybe the cold weather though.  As for cardboard funnels and gaffa tape and shit,  forget it,  just a bloody mess.  Flushing WD40 down the cable end ain't much chop either
