Hi Folks;
I have to agree that this book is a good read... Us UK guys bought a copy and posted it around our wee island(s) , so we could all get a gender at it without us all having to pay for it (kg for kg the book's cover price makes it about the same price as silver... not quite as dear as gold...)
Thing is... and I'm certainly not posting ill of the deceased here... It's Bob's recollections of his life as a biker... The fact that he rode/sold/modified XS11's doesn't really loom large in the book and I don't think that the title and jacket notes fully agree with the content... Which is a shame...
Suffice to say, I enjoyed the book, but not in the way I had anticpated enjoying it (as a fully paid-up XS1100 "Anorak") and I sure was glad that I hadn't stumped up the full asking price for a look-see at it...
That said, proceeds from sales of the book go to Bob's widow/family so for those altruists amongst us, get stuck right in..! It'll look great next to your XS11 workshop manuals..!
