Thanks guys! Still deciding what to do. Oh Jonesy, that means I can put the oil cooler in the box with all those other bits that are left over when we put things back together :)

but if your limited for choice because of the oil cooler....get rid of the oil cooler...worked for me. whats that big word for when something is over the top and beyond really necessary, superfluos or something like that. Thats what the oil cooler is.

Tony, the problem with some 4 into 1 exhausts are that they may not fit due to the oil cooler being fit to our Australian model bikes. Ask this question before you buy.Good luck

Tony,

I have 2 exhausts spare.  a 4 into 1 old but still sound.  $100 or a brand new 4 into 2 Mac system which has spent 2 minutes on a bike. It cost me US $500 = postage so is open to offers.  I am in Sydney.

Hope this helps

Hi guys,

I have a 1980 H standard.

I have a patched up bitsa exhaust at the moment that again needs repairing. I was looking at replacing it with this one

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140614777974&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123#ht_499wt_957

It is USD$400 + $95 postage to Australia.

Does anyone know much about the jardine exhaust for the XS's? Do you think it will go one OK? (The guy assures me it is marked for 1980 standard and special.)

Thanks in advance for your guidance :)

Alternatively I was looking at a Marshall deeptone?
