Hey Fred, not 100% sure if they are standard bars or not as thereare no markings on them at all, I did notice that they were very comfortable and gave an excellent riding position.  ;D

Hey Phil,

looking good mate. ;)
Are those the original bars on yours? they seem a bit down angled and look good.
I've got short drag bars on mine and am thinking to go a bit longer in the bars department as I don't have any mounting room left on mine. Not even for the new cruise control sitting on the shelf and it is only 3/8" wide. ???
Of course that might mean longer cables and all that crap.

Hey Errol, yes those accent strips look a treat. The whole paint job is awesome and the highlight is the fact that the pin striping is painted on rather than using material. Pete is coming over next week to check and adjust the float levels (as I wasn't confident enough to venture in further than the diaphragms :-[) Also I have a rattly valve shim or two that needs replacing (the guy who volunteered to work on my motor wasn't so knowledgeable as I first thought) but Pete assures me we can get it sorted. It was a fantastic little ride and I can't wait to put more klm's on this beast. A few long trips would be just the thing to satisfy my hunger  ;D ;D ;D
Cheers: Phil

Phil, your bike takes on a different aura now it's being photographed out in the real world, on the road. It looks great! Nice to see you got the seat strips sorted and fitted.
Makes a huge difference to have the carbs sorted properly. What further issues do you have to sort with them?
And Pete, That seat setup has really changed the look of your bike. Did you have much drama fitting it?
That's the tank off the rolling parts bike you picked up recently? Looks excellent!
Both very nice examples of the marque, on the road! Excellent to see.

You're not the first person Pete has helped Phil. Bit of a legend.

Great pics. Both bikes look very different, but both great. I love seeing herds of Yamabeasts out on the plains.  :D :D

Well today was the start of many more rides to come with Petejw1966 (bike whisperer as I shall call him from now on)  ;) Pete had a tweak with my bike this afternoon and transformed it into a well behaved awesome piece of machinery. I can't thank him enough for the time and effort he so readily gave, we still have a few issues to address and they will be dealt with within a couple of weeks so I owe you big time Pete. We darted around behind Eastern Creek and headed down to Elizabeth drive and then west toward Penrith. At this point I would like to say how good it was to ride with someone who has a similar riding technique as myself, it's very comforting to know you can predict where and when his next move would be. We pulled over in Glennmore Park for a quick photo and chat and then it was down the M4 toward home. In a word "Awesome"

Cheers: Phil
