Heyall... Damn...seing that bike makes we wanna go blow my savings on a Sport once again, they shure are gr8 thingies to look at those RH`s  8)

Just thought i`d toss a comment regarding the sidecar-chat that evolved here.
A close mate of mine stretched the width of his sidecar to fit an old bumpercar-

- and if that cant distort the frame (which it hasn`t) i don`t think anything less than mounting an old Sherman-Tank to the side can  :)

I have got an XS 100 that is fitted with a DJP sidecar, 15 inch car tyres and a Bob Martinleading link front end i have riden it thousands of kilometers and it has never shown any signs structual stress 2nd gear suffered a little bit and that is be fixed at the moment but that happens to solo bikes anyway the outfit is getting a birthday present a bit of a refurb and new paint i can not wait to ride it again

G,day Carsten
No worries I ended up sourcing one a bit closer to home
$1700?? mate the buyer got a bargain.
Just my opinion but I reckon sidecars put way too much stress on a bike even XS's

Hi all,
Sorry Jonesy, sold the bike today for $1700 to a guy from Launceston.  Charlie, whilst not being a member checked out the forum, my post and rang.  He intends to attach a side car and hopefully become a member of the group.  As I said to him anything he needs to know from a bunch of great guys will really help him, in sourcing parts and knowledge.

Yes.  The plan is to sell the bike and then I can concentrate on restoring my 78E.

Just to add.  It has a homemade exhaust that sounds really throaty and well made.

Finally freed up back brake.  Went for spin on Monday, great fun.  Thanks for the imput.  When selling, the front and rear rims arent the same colour and the tyres dont match (cheap chinese one on front) and the shockies are about shot.  Still starts well and fun to ride.  What I have noticed is around 100 km/h the bike is sitting on 4,200 rpm.  From memory 100 km/h was around 3,000 rpm.  Also added a picture of a 94 Honda ST1100.

1979 SF  Hot rod project
A garage full of parts bikes and parts to keep these 2 alive.

I just read an article on the
dangers of drinking....
Scared the shit out of me.
So that's it!
After today, no more reading.
