This is a good spot, BUT beware the head gasket in these cheap sets will permit blow by. If you can afford it, always use genuine head and base gaskets. cost a few $$$ more (the head gasket alone was about $120 I seem to recall), but it fixed my issue immediately.
A friend of mine had the same issue on his XS when he rebuilt his engine and used the cheap head gasket. So It wasnt just my dodgy home mechanics!
