I'll take the bike down to a signwriters here when it's all back together.

The chromework was supposed to done for when I got back, bummer.
Went to a FJR get together in Mudgee over the weekend.

I'll see if they can do something, print something up and costings.
May make up a few decals.

It was quite some time ago i used the letraset but from memory there was a huge range of sizes and fonts and i would of thought the font or colour on the warning light console of our xs1100 s was  fairly standard .A guess at how these were first done in the day may have been to screen print them  . A job that would have beeen a lot easier in the first assembly process .But none the less still maybe an option .I like your option too , maybe something a few more on here would be interested in .

You could perhaps print it on acetate.. Don't think the UV properties would be very good though......   ::)

Hi Fred,
Tar for that, no idiot light decals as you said.
It's a handy link / site though.

Those LETRASET decals might be ok, doesn't look like they have the same font.

I may head off to a signwriter, had a brainwave. They have those computer programs that do such a thing.

Cheers

Ken,

found it. I don't know how to set up a CLICK here link but if you go to "Ebay Worlwide"and type in:

SWITCH DECALS LENKER SCHALTER XS 750 1100 XS750 XS1100

you'll find a complete set for left and right switch blocks and ignition $22.84 + $4.02 P&H. No idiot light decals though. I'd PM him and ask about them. I found him very helpfull.

Let us know how you get on mate.

Ebay had a bloke selling a complete set of labels minus the "PASS" for the left bar block.
He said that he was in the process of putting an Australian set toghether.

I'll have a look around and try to relocate him.

Ken i have done a little homework and here is a link to LETRASET .http://www.letraset.com/craft/shopdisplaycategories.asp?id=57&cat=Letraset+Transfers
Another thought would be to use a label printer with white on clear laminated tape.

Hi Ken,depending on how steady your hand is you can use a paint pen , available at most newsagents or if you want a printed style......there used to be a product around called LETRASET which is a transparent sheet with various sized letters on the back side of it which you rub the front of the film to leave the chosen letter on a surface. After applying you may have to use an artists clear spray to provide a more stable finish . All these products i have purchased from a newsagent. ;D

Hi,

Just wondering if anybody has renewed the white writing on the centre panel ???
Some of it is worn away to be expected.

Cheers
