the problem arose from genes - my mothers side - one gets the bad with the good it seems.......

well guys - it's day 18 today.....doing well - my chest wound has healed nicely, and my leg is mostly healed too - the sternum is healing nicely too - can't lift much (3ltres of milk is the limit) - doing a 20 minute walk in the morning, able to sleep flat now - losing weight (mostly upper body muscle mass I think) - did a few hours work today (AutoCAD drafting)
been working on my sun tan - still weeks away from driving and months from riding -

OK you blokes - here it is - had the surgery on Friday 27/8/10 at 7.00am and discharged Tuesday 31/8/10 at midday -
pretty sore at the moment - really hurts to cough, sneeze, laugh, etc.
got 8 weeks of healing before my sternum is healed (like a broken bone atm)
for those unsure of what the surgery is about have a look at this

thx blokes - bit of a postponement - now Friday poss. Monday - someone needier than I popped up...
There are too many positives about this for me so I am hardly worried  - I have a feeling it will be a swifter recovery than from my accident in Jan 2008 - my ribs and collar bone still give me trouble and lets not mention my wrist....
