I've currently got a request in at the New Zealand Transport Authority under the Official Information Act for the number of currently registered xs11's still on the road here. I'm not expecting a quick response but under the act they have to respond as it's statistical info and not personal.   looking at this , i wonder if we can do the same with our DVLA thats driver licensing vehicle authority . so i might give that a try. respect spanner.

The one I saw for sale was in Sydney. It was in need of TLC and was in the trading post about 2 years ago.

I have got a special that had been stripped to a rolling frame and a couple of boxes of parts i have also got a couple of sets of wheels and brake discs i am going to put the round headlight and gauges on my XS1100 outfit people have trouble working out what it is now so the change should really trick them

Never laid eyes on a special in the flesh for the 30 years they've existed,  used to see a few normal XS1100's back  in the days of castrol 6 hours and what not, late 70's early 80's, but think I've only ever seen one other since I brought a 78E about 10 years or so back,  rare as fekk out on the road

I've got one too! A '79 SF. Beaut bike ay. It's an import though I'm not sure where from. Has metric speedo so it can't be a yank bike.

Can't say I've ever seen more than 1 for sale in about 3 yrs of looking. Must have almost completely bypassed the Aus/NZ market.

Anyone seen many of them?
