Got home no bother - kept the revs above 4k most of the way and it was fine.

I was out on it yesterday in traffic and it was acting up something shocking. Anything between 2krpm and 3krpm is horrific. Seems to get bogged down and on a couple of occasions it just completely died on me.

Pete from Sydney has put a carb body in the post to me, so fingers crossed. I also have some ZRX carbs on the way - so long term project is a conversion to those. Then Pete can have his carb body back.  :D

Yes, that's me in the white t-shirt and oversized ears   ;D It sure was a great day. Perfect weather, topped off with great company and good riding.

Brian, hope you got home okay with the carby issue. Have you checked out eBay lately? there's a few carby sets, and even single carbs up for sale there at the moment.

Guilty as charged Steptoe.

Jeff, if you know how perhaps you could put the names up on the group photos etc.

The fork brace on the black standard was bought by me for the RH, but I had to sell it here. Turns out the buyer was a top bloke and it fits his machine perfectly.

The RH needs a higher center to clear the mudguard.

I'm the bespectacled eedjit with the XS1100 UK T-shirt.

Errol ,  i d better check with the others on that first .( Ya never know if there are any outstanding warrants , overstayed immigration visas or fatherless babies out there).Only kidding guys but i ll fess up to being the stud......oopps.......the  guy on the left of the group pic.The guy in pic 1 on the left and pic 5 was an xs1100 groupie who did anything we asked on the day.On the subject of the fork brace i believe it s always better to be stiff than saggy in the front end .

Good to see your gathering worked out ok.
Interesting to note in the pics that both the Standard's have got fork braces and both of the Sports haven't. Any Chance of putting names to the people in the photos?

Cracking weather, great location - superb company. Sorry about the carb problem. Will have it all fixed before the next ride. Would have loved to have ridden all day.

Great to see 4 in a row. Something I've never seen before.

A long awaited first meet of the Melbourne crew ...and as they say......a pictures worth a thousand words....albeit there was plenty of jibber jabber going on as well.A great day with 4 xs1100 s .Thanks guys.(ps do the push down thingy on your mouse wheel to slide view of pics sideways)

Well.....someone had to smile for the camera...!!!!!!!

After lunch at the pub.......and paying far too much attention to our bikes......i thought it only fair to include a nice young lady in our day out. Sooooooo i let her take some photos.......... of us and the bikes...... of course.
A ride to Kinglake followed not before saying see ya to Brian due to carby probs.Departed company with Fred at Melba Hwy..while John and i explored the road from Toolangi to Healesvile.
A great day, great guys and bloody fantastic bikes.
Lets do it again real soon.
