So you wear an "Oldie but a Goodie",eh? Must be an underlying requisite for owners of XS11's. My helmet's a Nolan N70 which is a dual purpose full face with a peak which is also unavailable new here. It's my third one and find the peak is very useful when doing the long hauls into the western sun and shields your eyes from the glare very effectively.
Regarding the benefits of a flip face down here, It makes no difference what helmet you've got. You have to take it off before they'll activate the fuel bowser or any other activity where they have ruled that a motorcycle helmet obscures the wearer from clear identification.
What about Indian bhurkas etc..... Oops, got me started.
Yes it seem mad but it's a fact down here that a helmet that obviously was designed so that the wearer could quickly flip the front up to allow whoever they are speaking to see their whole face without having to undo fasteners etc to take them off.

A modest 59/60 cm... UK size L (large).  Why?  You gonna buy me a new one..?? ;D

I'm quite happy with my HJC Sy-Max... No longer made, but as it's my second I have 2 complete sets of padding, 4 visors: 2 clear, one tint, one "black" - one of the clear is a "pinlock" with the anti-fog insert... What a feckin' God-send after all those years of fogged up visor and specs..!!

It's a flip-front jobbie, so I don't have to take the thing off/on/off/on/off/on when getting fuel, etc...

Awesome! Our own MITIPEDIA!!

Welcome aboard, mate. I've had a browse through a few of your posts on the other site and , to put it mildly, am very impressed with your knowledge of the workings of these fine machines.

You won't be a "newbie" for long, I'd say. Maybe a week?

Hi Folks...

As Christian has made it clear that he isn't gonna dry up and go away, I thought I'd better sign up and join in with the global party...

Those of you who dip into the UK forum will be sick to the feckin' back teeth of my endless ramblings... Those that haven't should know that I'm a shy retiring soul, without a single clue as to the workings of the venerable XS1100...

There... Nuff said... I am now truly a registurd member...  I thang yow..!! ;D
