Hi
I was the one who bought this bike. Since buying it it sat in the corner for the last 5 years. Over the last couple of weeks while
being on holidays put it on the lift and gave it some TLC. It has started to come together better than I could imagine. I know it was commented on this wasn't a 5xP but this has not been thrown together from parts. Have got every thing working, runs exceptionally well which I think it's 54,000Kms is correct. It was fairly ratty and untidy, I suppose being played with at the technical collage and sitting at the museum, but have put every thing back where it belongs. The original exhaust has one small hole under front cover which is a easy fix. An added bonus the front headers where painted silver which come off and although the chrome is slightly tarnished it looks 100% better. I have contacted a person who knew the guy that rode it from when first commissioned, who sent me a photo of the of him on it at he barracks. The photo is side up close and when studying it it is the same bike. The only thing missing now is the rear crash bar which if I can't find will make. The top photo new, extract from Qld police timeline, the other three when I got it. If you look you will see the cops biro , those leggings where in the panniers and you can see the wear mark from constant placement. Think how much money this machine made for the government.
Happy Riding
Kerry
