This is the last photo I have of Dad's bike back in 2005 before he couldn't ride her anymore. If I could see her looking like this again, I would be a very happy lady.

this is the bike as it stands now, almost pulled down,

it will be taken completely down and we,ll start from the bottom

the plan is when Ashlee and hubby or brother can come up, they,ll do most of the work so it  becomes their bike

over time of course

[/img][/img][/img]ftp://Hi everyone, my name is Ashlee and I'm from Brisbane, Australia. Two years ago, I lost the best man I've ever known my dad, he was only 46. I inherited his XS1100, she hadn't been ridden since 2005 when my dad hurt his back fracturing 5 of the vertebrae in his spine so he couldn't ride her anymore. So she sat in storage for a long time. Dads dream as he strengthened his back was to ride her again one day. I remember as a kid being on the back and holding onto my dad for dear life. Over the past two years, I had been slowly trying to work on her the best I could. But I didn't know anything about bikes so asked for help on the XS1100 Australia Facebook group. I was overwhelmed by the amount of help and support offered through this time and this is how I met Geoff. We would message from time to time and I would ask for pointers air what to do next, and we eventually met in person. Geoff now has my dads bike with him and I cannot wait to get down to Bundy to learn more about these awesome machines and to one day ride her.
