That was it Jonesy, was a real #^*@$¥# to get out .
At least I know for next time cause the H started leaking the same day I bought the new seals.

was the old seal one of them original ones with a locating ring on it?

All good, job done, turns out rotor was the easy part.
Just a bit of heat.
Getting the old seal out without damage to the cases was the hard part, just hope the seal supplied by Yamaha is right.
At least it seems to have stopped the leak.

Looking at similar vids on ewe choobe ....select 4th gear....apply rear brake then......they seem to pop when holding tension and wrenchin on the nut while whackin away.
Nothin artistic about tit. ;D
PS...check it s  a high tensile bolt.

Yeah Jonesy, tried the hammer, both with flywheel puller and a three leg puller.
