they are a good thing - responsive, handle really well, light - 92hp at 9000 rpm - 185kg 0 the big end issue has made them cheap to buy - that's changing with proper repairs being made -
on the up side - there are plenty of parts available - LOL
I can buy new parts that I need - of course not cheap coming out of Italy

a bit of stuff here

I saw one of these in an Italian restaurant recently. It was up behind the bar as an ornament. Looked good.

My other passion...... 1998 Laverda  SF 750S
mine

From the factory they were plagued with oil feed to big end issues - some machines only lasted a few thous km before they lunched - mine has done some 27k km - until I hit that roo at Boggabilla in May 2017 (but that's another story altogether)
Well a long story shortened...... have had the forks and monoshock reconditioned and intended to just recommission the machine and hope for the best...... well, then a sure fix was suggested, economy in numbers so I stripped mine for the fix and found this.......

it's pressed crank with needle roller mains and big ends - pressed apart

Houston, we have a problem....... it appears that had I not hit the roo I may not have made it home anyhoo....
