Just watched Andys MC Obsessions coverage of the rally - excellent stuff and getting a brand spanking new XS there and Mal Pitman and a Martini on top of all the other bikes - spectacular - what more could you want from a one marque rally -  regards Kev

One time... when i was at band camp .....i saw a guy tow his bike behind his car . He removed the front wheel ...re inserted the front axel onto the forks...then clamped the axel down onto his towbar.
Removed the chain...cos it was one of those primitive drive type bikes...and...Bobs ya uncle....simples.

Cheers Xtian - been off the grid for a week apart from checking my phone - moved my sons gear out of our old house , then moved home myself - then moved his stuff into his new place  - so I think next weekend will be trying to remove as much boxed stuff out of my new garage so I can get the XS inside - pic shows bike back together (in order to push it about a mile across town to our new house) - it isn't running properly or road legal so I couldn't ride it.  :o

PS - the garage only looks that clean because moving the XS was literally the very last thing to do for our move.

Sorry about the 'instrument' thing Jonesy - I feel I can be a bit cheeky in return cause I've seen you posting on the UK site - and yes - I've been picked up about the instruments (Tom) and I could have moved them when I last had it to bits - but I didn't ..... I like them where they are and it's how they have been since I got the old girl so I'm kind of used to that position.

Here's another (slightly out of focus) picture to make up for my defective instrument cluster..... ha ha

Hi to all - I've been on the UK site since 2008 and have 'dipped' into XSAUS a few times and so I thought it would a good idea to log on properly - Me - 54 year old been riding since I was 17 and had a modest procession of bikes until I got my first proper superbike - my XS was a very good second hand bike (I don’t think I have ever surpassed the thrill of picking her up and riding home) the standard pipes were gone and a Laser 4:1 fitted and a pair of up side down 'drop' bars which were soon replaced.
