anytime under throttle when the rpms
hit 4 -4500, sounded like a hammer whacking
something hard, it couldnt have done the engine
any good.

the cost that i spent $16 a plug was the main
reason i kept using them, thing was i tried running
a hotter ngk bp5es and the engine had the same knock
which thru me for a bit, then i tried the stock plugs bp6es and the
bike ran heaps better and the knocking went away

so im figuring the iridiums are a hotter plug than the standard
ngk6's.  and ill never buy them again.

the noise, i wouldnt call it detonation, pinging is more like a bucket
of bolts rattling in a steel bucket, this is a much deeper
valve knock,  like a hammer whacking a steel bar.

that will be right,,,

was using them myself for a while, till my man I get my advise from, told me to throw em away

                                 :o :o    and  !!!!!!!! NEVER !!!!!!!! use em again  :o :o

{ knowing how much time and effort I have spent building it }, he didn't say why,, the way he said it was enough, I didn't bother asking, and haven't used them since,

maybe DETONATION is  the end result

if any of you are using them, cut your dollar loss and turf em

iridium plugs

ive been using ngk iridium plugs for a little while
and noticed i had what sounds like a bad valve knock
under acceleration from 4-4500rpm,

after replacing the plugs back to standard ngk
plugs i know longer have a valve  knock and smoother
acceleration.

maybe if your using iridiums and have a knock in the engine,
it could be worth while switching back to standard ngk plugs
