I'm new here and am also fixing an XS1100 in Perth, but with help from my retired Dad and my son. Tuesday afternoon is Bike Day.

If you still want chrome you could go for the houso's look and use "Lithgow Chrome" it comes in a spray can, I used it extensively when I was on an apprentice budjet  ;D

Thanks for the comment, good to know they take time, or I'm not the only slow bike builder.

I thought I would use the excellent advice on this web-site and paint the frame.

The only difference to the standard bike will be the chrome parts will probably now be black, as chrome platers are scarce in Perth and extremely expensive.

You're speeding ahead.

My first one sat in milk crated for 10 years,  2nd one took just on 5 years.

Are you going to paint  or powder coat the frame?

Keep the photos coming.

Things take time. Look on the bright side. When it's finished you'll have on fantastic machine. Keep the pic's coming.

Here's a couple of pictures on my RH. It has taken me three years from purchase to get to this stage.

I hope the photos have been attached.
