First picture looks like a run over Wombat with some bleeding?
Only say that as I have issues with the native little Bulldozer at home at the moment?

Cheers

Are you heating the dent as well? and obviously new paint job in order too
doing it cold wont work you'll just blow the tank out of shape before the dent pops
guess it depends on the type of dent too, any creasing and its probly not the right method.
I've done it on 2 stroke exhaust expansion chambers but not on a fuel tank. seen hail damage heated red and then quenched with a trigger spray bottle

Hey John,

Xtian placed a thread on here about rust removal called http://www.evapo-rust.com.au/index.html, I ended up speaking to the "main man" a Kiwi that's importing and has the product and he swears by it.

Back in about 86/87 I got my 84 GPZ750 tank lined with something similar and had nothing but trouble with the shit blocking Carbies, ended up putting car fuel filters on cause the little ones just kept getting blocked, swore I'd never do it again.

BTW those inferior RH tanks you mentioned, have more "FRESH" fuel go through them so there's no need to be concerned about rust  ;)

From my experience in the "24 litre challenge" thread if your tank has a lot of rust, it will eat that rust away and make pinholes you never had before.

Fuel tank por 15 kit

Hi all
Friday purchased POR 15 M/cycle tank repair kit for $85.75 including.
First thing noticed no inspection mirror as noted on box next I read : for fuel tanks up to 20 litres.
After phone call No problem with mirror, will be sitting on counter and will sell another tin of sealer for cost $20 + gst.

My question out of the Brains trust: has any one needed extra sealer, :( to complete the job on our 24 litre Tanks not those inferior R H tanks :P

One more question I have small dents over tank to be repaired should I get them popped before the treatment. :-\

This will be my project over the next few weeks I hope to post pics.
Also any tips Guys and Gals ::)
