Long headers don't deliver torque they produce power in the high rev range!

PGNZ ! i disagree. the primaries are short, therefore, low down power, and if you look at where they join into 1 compared to a standard system  the result would be similar, although you would loose somewhat in the mid to high. so it really depends on what you want to achieve, they would probably be ok for pulling a sidecar but deffinetly  not for the dragstrip.

hehe the set in the pic, you can tell in a glance they're hi-rev peaky design,
equal-length or not you still want loong headers for more  torque believe it

I took your "old" 4-1 system off the side car and put on an original system.
The swap fixed all the down low gremlins.
I figured that this system was worth at least the starting bid.

Thanks Eddy
Not withstanding looks and power delivery, ground clearance is also a priority for me,  system i just took off scraped at the muffler. Got a 4-2 mac system on now, not truly tested yet but going to put it through its cornering paces on the back road to wellington next week
Should be able to fix the looks with some spray on chrome

Short primaries, near equal length, should be good for low down to mid power but not hi range. not a bad set for our old girls!! looks a bit ugly tho.

had one similar once, looks like a peaky design, more for top-end revs/racing, for broad power band needs larger collector and cone/funnel-shaped connection to muffler
