Nice to meet you Bryan and welcome.  Great history there, thanks for sharing.  Spent 3 years in BrisVegas and enjoyed it.  I'm a mate of Christian's and getting to know a lot more about bikes lately and enjoying the "ride".  The forum makes for good reading and knowledge.

Hope we can meet up on one of the meets and exchange hello from time to time.

Why don't you forward it with a little story to Bauer Media and see if you cant get it in the section 'The Way We Were' Go to page 130 of the November issue...  Tell them you are a avid reader down under and thought they may be interested in this still.... Worth a shot....

I've been trying to find  a picture that my Aunt says exists of my Uncle and her sitting on a BSA outside the iconic 'Ace Cafe' circa 1956. Apparently in the image if you look closely my Aunt has the front outside of her shoe missing after my Uncle Ron took a corner under a little to much speed.. Still carried onto the cafe though.. Them were the days...

hello -  I am Bryan -
Been riding since 1968

had a few bikes over the years bit never thought to get pics of them all
but here are some...










Anyhoo, now the proud owner of Lucrezia - my 1980 XS11 G
this is as she was shortly after I bought her

with no 3 son at Beaudesert

I enjoy "high milage" rides - covering as many km's in as few days as possible -
eg June 2009 plans to leave from Brisbane on Sat morning (early) then thru Kyogle, down the Summerland Way, up to Tenterfield and down to Uralla then to Walcha for the night (successful) then Sunday down the Thunderbolts Way to Glouceste, Nabiac (bike museum) then north and in to Wauchope and back up the Oxley Hey to Walcha for Sunday night and then back home to Brisvagis on the Monday.
Such were our plans...... unfortunately there was some rain on Saturday reuslting in one machine (KTM990 adventure) slipping and falling (pillion needing Xray on wrist), Sat night RAIN at Walcha with the threat of snow and sleet for Sunday so the majority ruled that we head north to Bellengen for Sunday night under blue skies then home Monday - still plenty of km's but not the original plan.
