The more I think about it, it would be just easier to fit  the motor into a frame.
I do have all the components, TCI coils harness etc...... and a frame does have perfectly placed brackets to hang all those things off doesn't it............ :-X

jonesy, u would need power to the tci, wiring from the pick ups,
wiring for the coils  and  wiring for the starter solenoid/starter motor other than that
I cant think of anything else of hand that would be needed.

 nothing of technical value,,, but would you be able to use 7 wire trailer cable and follow the needed paths from the manual

save killing a harness

Anyone got some info on running an XS motor on "the bench" like minimum wiring required and stuff.
the ute load of spares I picked up has a motor that I want too eventually repair and run, without the hassle of fitting into a frame.
