Can't help much with last year but, if I get there next time.

I've had a couple of pieces published in the last couple of months.

There was a story about the Australia Day weekend ride to Numeralla by Riverina Offroad Adventure Riders.  That was published in MC Trader about 3 issues ago.  That one was on my sidecar, with a  mate pretending to be that TV wild man.  bet Dobbo newver expected his belly to be published in a national magazine! ;D

Then there was the four day ride that Mr G, Uncle Gra & I did through Kosciousko, Alpine & Namadgi NPs.  That one was published in Two Wheels, over two issues, must be June & Julythis year. I had my 690E back then & was throwing myself at the scenery.

I've also had a couple of Eastender's Rally - renamed Wagga Wagga Classic Motorcycle Rally so people may get an idea where it is - published in Old Bike.

cheers

Getting back to the original topic, if nobody has I'll volunteer to do a write up and send it on, but who has the best group photo?

Cheers

Lou

Well you should ask Mal that question.
It was not just the motor it was a total rebuild to fix all the problems caused by a P plater back in 2006.
Bent frame, swing arm, front axle, triple tree, slightly bent forks and a fantastic back to original paint job.
Plus all the bits I had to source from where ever I could then Mal's magic touch
All new bearings front to back.
So probably 8000+....now before you jump, I now have a NEW bike....a proper bike for very little outlay.
For what the bike is and what it means to me it could have been double that for what I now have and still been a cheap bike, yes I am a tragic..
XS1100 - was sonst?
I have now ordered the stainless exhaust from Heinz Wyes in Germany so I will now have a 2013 model Yamaha XS1100
christian, i never asked how much it cost you to put the engine mal built for you.

could you give me an idea of how much it ended up costing, as im thinking of getting him to build an engine for me as well.

pm me if you like

sorry for the off topic btw

Were is our Shakespeare in the group??
Maybe anyone in the group who had any XSciting XSperience could just list it or them and all of them could be put together into some sort of write up.
Me... well I flew down to Adelaide Stayed with Paul, got the bike from Mal, had a BBQ at Coops with a great bunch. rode back to Sydney, exhaust snapped off at Belranald got it patched up there and continued on. Work for 2 days then off to Bourke. Overnight stay in Orange to pick up group at Macca's. Got to Bourke, another header broke and got fixed at Bourke.....but nothing really XSciting.

That is probably the sort of short hand thing we need to get this thing rolling, pictures can be added later.

What do you think???
