Anyone painted their disks with non heatproof paint, if so what was the outcome?
Thought of painting my RH disks with heat proof VHT gold but the colour isn't to close to the original.

Hey Steve,
you'll be right using non heat proof paint on your discs, they'll only overheat and damage the paint if you over use the brakes, and brakes are for pussies anyway.  :P

Anyway, jokes aside, I just used a garden variety satin black paint on mine and still good after a coupe of years

I had the centres of my rotors powder coated black over 10 years ago - still in pretty good nick - hasn't melted off or anything

rear

right front

I have a pair of rotors off my donar machine that I will be drilling and painting intending to use black Wattyl Killrust epoxy gloss enamel -
my favourite - used on all things black on Lucrezia.... :D
Is this not recommended for the rotors?
