Now, as I intimated, it wasn't all perfect.
I ended up spending most of my time riding the LC. As I got more confident with it I was bumping myself up grades. I ended up doing the 'Roadbike - expert' groups, as I could keep up with many, and still pass lots.
One session I spent playing with a fella on a Z500 race bike. He was surprised that the z could keep up with the LC on the straights. The clutch just wouldn't hook up properly. But we had such fun.
Last session of the weekend, I hooked onto a bloke on a pristine GXSR750 - slab side. He'd eat me down the straight, back on him through the first bend, leave me for dead one the back straight then I'd work on it and pass him either into the down hill right, behind the pitsor the up hill left onto the straight.
And then we'd do it all over again.
And again.
And again.
Very nearly the whole session.
Except.
Into turn 1, which continues into turn 2. Not certain but I think 4th gear, maybe 3rd, probably around 6-7 grand.
The first I realised was when I hear the right side rear set grinding on the bitumen. Then I figured,'oh. I'm sliding on my bum'. Then, I kept sliding. Some time later, whilst I was still sliding, I figure my right foot rotated and grabbed the bitumen.
Then I started to roll. I whacked my helmet into the bitumen, thereby writing off a helmet that I'd bought four riding hours earlier, before I finally, belatedly, but not in conclusion, left the bitumen.
I can clearly recall thinking that I should've stopped sliding and rolling by now.

Well, I did. Eventually.
Stood up.
Fell down.
Right ankle felt like it was broken.
So, I did what everyone does in those circumstances, I stood up again.
Nah, not broken. I can hobble on it.
I hobbled over to the LC and picked it up.
Then it fell over on the other side.
A while later, I got delivered to the medical centre and the discussion was X-Ray. Instead of spending a lovely night around the fire, everyone within 50 metres helped my wife and son pack up our camp and we drove home to Wagga. I ended up at the Base Hospital just before midnight.
Next month taking it fairly eaily & spending a lot of time editing the videos and photos.
The bike came out of it ok. Not too much damage.
I am sooooo glad I didn't hit the Suzuki. We were both fairly up it at the time.
Now, saving for another new helmet etc.
And I'vebought a ute so I can take the LC to track days & maybe, just maybe, race it.
