I found the cheapest option for something like this is to contact a furniture removalist. I had an Outboard Motor delivered from the Gold Coast to Canberra fr $100 on a back load.

to be honest with you Fred, the price of freighting something of that size unless you know someone, may very well be surprising,, if it,s not heavy you.ll pay by the pallet space which will be 2,,  it will be easier to pay a few extra dollars for one down there

you could talk to the obvious general carries that roll thru your area, they will pick up from address to depot, but dollars I don,t know

A bloke has got a Falcon Bull Bar for sale but doesn't want to post it.
If some one could pick it up and send it to Victoria for me I would be eternally grateful.
