Still chasing wires, ignition switch? Have 4 wires coming out, does anyone out there no what the white wire is for? Reason for the question, wiring loom is off a US model and they only have three wires coming out of the switch.
I've been riding Yamahas since 1976. Only other bike was a Honda CB900F 1978.
last bike ridden XS1100RH 83 1995 sold the bike to fund an O/S trip. Have a XS1100E for 12 yrs and ready to restore.

Check all the plugs on the way to the headlight shell, they tend to get a bit daggy as time goes on.
New loom looks like a good project or at least a collection of plugs and sockets.

Maybe better to use relays to do the switching rather than have the power go through the ignition switch

Once again looking for help!!!!
New battery, charged but no power to the ignition switch or instrument panel?  Had a friend who put a multi metre on the fuse connectors.  All fuse connectors have voltage except  1. Second from the left next to the mains.  Writing has faded and not sure which fuse does what. Right hand switch controls plugged in, left hand need rewiring, could this be the issue being an open circuit? Pulled all connectors apart and cleaned. Just not sure where to start.
Thought the big moment had arrived when I got to crank the beast over. So close yet so far.
