ok problem solved
yeah  Jonesy it all came down to a pair of the buggers,after ide dissasembled and  picturegraphed my work  I started reassembly and had these two 10mm spacers  left over  and i didn t see where they originated from in the tear down and they didn t show up in the picsthey sort of fell out of the forks while i was jiggling it around .so  the problem was  i was trying by error and error  sytyle  to find the point of origin,  turns out they belong the guard assembly
side car now reassembled  brakes sussed  may have to put a kit through them at some stage the journey continues :)

without having seen your set up and just by description.........sounds like a spacer missing or ?
Maybe some pics  and showing whats rubbing etc would help

hi all need some help from the side car guru s 
 ive diassembled the front end leading link  to have a look @the brakes ,so ive laid out every thing on the deck  in the order it came off
to reassemble in reverse order, so it s time to reassemble and i cant get it to line up again, the main prob is with the gap between the brake block and the rim theres a 5 -6 mm gap   and now it can t get it to sit with out touching the rim
ps i took pics as i went  so any tips would be helpful
