I emailed Keith about his friend, and the bike.

The previous owner was David Hair.  David died in late 2010, from cancer.  I met Keith shortly before then, so never knew David.

The bike went to his cousin in WA, whose name is not known by Keith.  I hope it is ridden in the way David probably intended.  Full noise.

cheers

No, Keith is alive and well.

It was a friend of his.  I didn't know him, nor ever meet him.  I don't know his name.  We all have to go, but often it's just too soon.

I picked up some XS bits from Keith and we've been riding a bit together - I 'followed' him across Granya Gap, with the video running.  Search 'Granya Gap on XS1100' in youtube & he's right there.
edit:  there is a link the youtube in 'ride reports'

Hi Guy's
Found this and thought I better share it..........

I may be mistaken.  I am led to believe that the previous owner was an Albury resident.
I say 'previous' as I understand he died recently, from cancer.

Don't know anything about the bike, just through a 3rd party.  I was sent some more photos but I don't know what I did with them.  Maybe I deleted them so I wouldn't get jealous.

Hey guys, would you happen to know if the prevoius owners name was Keith Nichols ? The reason I ask is because I bought my XS from Keith in Albury back in feb 2010 and he and a mate were selling their stock of XS parts as they had completed building an XS race bike and were overstocked with bits and pieces. I never got to see the race bike as it was parked at his mates place, and never took him up on his offer to see it out on the track. Damn shame if it was Keith who has passed as he was only around 50 or so.
Cheers: Phil
