G'day Steptoe,

An old army trick mate... ;D A good dash of saliva...yep!!! It not only loosens the bugs quicktime (due to the enzymes we have) but it keeps the fog away forever...!!! As an ex diver....a good spat on the inside of the googles before going under, kept the fog away.

You know the old saying...An apple a day keeps the doctor away....well a sputtjch** keeps the fog away!!! 8).

You can also try a raw slice of spud mate!!! Works wonders. ;D
While riding, have eyes like a cameleon!!!
Never trust anyone on the road...including yourself!!!
A bike is better than sex...the ride always lasts longer!!!

I find that by not having a screen fitted that the wind coming up under my sunglasses keeps the lenses fog free. 8)

-6 deg at 7.30am in Ruffy this morning. The sun sparkling off the melting black ice makes it a bit tricky in some of the corners :o

Plexus for cleaning and a Fog City stick on film on the inside.......I dont know if there still available but best I ever used when doing the winter commute to Oberon NSW otherwise open visor a couple of notches. Have heard a smear of dishwashing detergent inside visor for anti fogging but never tried it.

Use Armorall, makes it easier to get the bugs off, hides the scratches and the rain water balls off. I keep a small bottle in my pannier.

Would it be safe to say..........some helmets work better regarding ventilation than others?
I don t seem to have too many problems in this regard..........aside from opening the visor one notch when stationary at traffic lights.

I use a warm wet soft cloth to soften up the Bug bodies and them i give the visor a blast of windex wiped with a soft cloth and the i give it a good soaking under hot running water then i wave -dry the visor and shake off the excess water it works a treat for me i wash my optical glasses the same way

With my helmet visor, I just use a wet cloth draped over it to soften the carcasses up a bit, followed by the same wet cloth ( warm water this time) to wipe off the skeletal remains, then dry with a couple of tissues. Occasionally, it gets a shot of my eyeglass cleaning solution (Visual Aspects brand) which seems to keep the fogging at bay. Mind you, if you get very excited while you're riding your XS, nothing will help with the misting up, other than one of those new fangled nosepiece thingies that directs the hot moist exhalation down away from the visor area.

I,m after different ways we keep our visors clean and clear,,

being the time of year that it is,, how many different ways are there to stop the visor fogging up as we breath,, how do you fellas {down south} that have to deal with it all the time get around the problem

I keep my visor and fairing screen {and most other plastics} clean by using metho and a  terry towelling cloth,, after sitting a wet paper towel on the screen to soften the bugs,, this way nothing gets scratched,

should be some interesting solutions
