Yes indeedy. I've been up there again since my last post in this thread, for the 27th Sidecar Riders & Enthusiasts Rally up near Hill End.

No matter how many times I ride it, the steepness of that northern side always makes an impression - on the way up, I was thinking about how the old girl could really do with a tune, as she seemed a bit flat, had to use first gear. On the way back down on Sunday, all I could think about was the new front brake pads sitting in the garage cupboard - despite being in first gear!

Yikes! Glad you apparently got it all gathered up OK.

Great road though, isn't it? A bit too much like hard work punting the outfit through there (uphill anyway..), but absolutely sublime on a mid to large bore solo.

If you are approaching the lip of the steep decent into the Abercrombie River,on the Oberon side, watch out for the right hander.Last Sunday,in a meditative and relaxed state,i found myself, and the 1100RH,wide and on loose shale, going down hill.At this point the meditation and relaxation ceased.Be warned,it has caught me before, but this last encounter is unforgettable.
