A rough itinerary for a caravan park scenario may be.........
An early arrival team purchases BBQ food and drinks (beer, soft drinks tea ,milk and coffee).

Friday night arrivals.....
After checking in with park management..........check in with the team to donate a yet to be determined amount to cover costs and to be briefed on any general or  last minute issues .
Help yourself to a drink or something to eat.
If you haven t already.....immediately start having a good time.

Saturday morning/midday arrivals............
After checking in with park management..........check in with the team to donate a yet to be determined amount to cover costs and to be briefed on any general or  last minute issues .
Help yourself to a drink or something to eat.
If you haven t already.....immediately start having a good time.

Saturday afternoon.. ish......
A group rideout/photo opportunity ( we do need sh....loads of pics to make other people jealous they either didn t or could nt make it! and obviously to display the collective machinery to drool over ) to somewhere yet to be determined.
Challenges for awards....slow race etc
If you haven t already.....immediately start having a good time.

Saturday night...............
BBQ and more liquid refreshments/truth serum.
If you haven t already.....immediately start having a good time

Sunday morning..............
Break fast and bullshit gathering.......to hand out awards.
Farewells.
If you haven t already had a good time.....too friggin late......try again next year!!!

Remember....we are not a financially run club..it s a collective interest group spread across most Parts of Australia and as such........there are no yearly memberships to be paid.....no fund raisers to attend / club memorabillia to purchase etc.........therefore unlike other rallies which have funds at hand and  are held on propertys where portable facilities such as toilets and showers are paid for and provided and there is no entry fee to this rally (possibly aside from a general contribution for a BBQ or other basic commodities deemed necessary).
All of us will be riding in on our bikes..........there are no organisers to truck in facilities , we have to rely on what is provided for our use.
Consider this when requesting a remote  area , for campfires / being away from the general public so as not to annoy....generally having a free run at having yarns and beers into the early hours and the associated noise/fun/running of bikes etc that goes with that.
These are realistic considerations and also objectives to investigate and overcome if this is what the majority wants.
I  have looked into all the areas around the destinations......Showgrounds.....sites in the Camps Australia book....internet research etc........and so far ......nadda!
However ..........as a first off Rally there may need to be a compromise......... and  hope that we can work in and enjoy ourselves in areas of accomodation and general meeting /riding around town and be seen as a well organised event rather than loud annoying partygoers who are nt welcome back .If the Hells Angels can rally in Muldura and have the locals not be offended.....it s a piece of cake for us.

I agree with Jonesey, beer, camp fire, talking xs talk and meeting new people.

If I ride that distance I won't be going to a pub or looking for entertainment on Frid or Sat night, I would rather talk to the guys who ride the same bikes, and check out their machines.

There are more of you guys on the east coast than over here, so it is perhaps reasonable that any get together is held closer to you. Like I said on my other post just be up front, it won't offend me. If I am not happy with the destination I will go to Roaming Swagman Rally here in SA on the same weekend.

We are all big boys if some can't make it to this one we are sure to catch up sometime.

Someone needs to make a decision on this before everyone loses interest.

A thought that came to mind after reading Jonesy s comments is......we will never please everyone down to the bone............so i don t see any reason why 2 locations can t be organised within the destination of choice regarding accomodation .
Somewhere for loud bikes camping........beers yarns.....campfires etc into the early hours with out retribution..............and some where for others to retire to with reasonable amenities.

One thing to keep in mind is showers and toilets need to be provided,  drinks need to be kept cold as well as food ,meat etc for a BBQ.....welcoming drinks can be on hand as well.
An all weather situation to gather around  is also something to think about.
