G'day,
Jonesy, yes this would be the same bike , remember it had a flat front tyre and was real hard to ride, I have just done essential repairs to get rego, light switch and all wiring, freed up front brakes and bleed, new fork seals, set of original pegs and mounts (had to mod ex pipe to fit ) still have a few parts on the way for her.
AussiXS11G, sorry mate I didn't do the seat but will let you know when I strip it down to repair the  base.
 Clutch.

Hey Clutch
How ya goin' mate?
I actually took your bike for a test ride when I was looking for an XS back in about March?this year It was located to the south of sydney
back then it had no pods but had rock catcher gauze on the original rubber extensions that connected to the original airbox.
Check out the link below, this is what I wrote after a ride.........do any of my comments ring a bell?

G'day Clutch and welcome to the family. Lots of good friendly, helpful people on board here.

I thought I'd slip your pic in here for everyone to see.

G'day , new member from penrith here, finally back on an xs again, I had one a few (G std) years back and really loved it, used to ride up to see a mate at noosa regulary. Eventually had to sell so I could buy  a house and have regretted it ever since, was a shame as I knew a bit of its history, had over 200k on the clock, ran like a dream and never had the cases split. Now have an H std, but it's a bit of a mongerel as its been fitted with early carbs and been gutted of non essential electricks.
Got it rego'd but still in the process of final repairs so I can get out and give her a good run. will post up a photo to see if anyone recognises the old girl and can offer any background info as it has distinctive maroon wheels.
 Cheers , Clutch.
