for the couple of extra dollars and you've got it apart for other new parts anyway, why would'nt you use new seals. ???

I myself like the calm that settles over you with the knowledge that I've done everything to ensure that when I need to grag a fistful of lever just a few yards from skippy that all will be well. ;)

they don't normally, 8)

unless some goose puts them together with anti sieze/or a type of grease

my latest w/shop project, on my work mates bike

Tom on the UK site (who's advice is always A1) reckons that the seals on calipers almost never break down and can usually be re-used.

do they come with new o-rings? most pistons do, but $24 is a cheap part

This one is badly corroded around the top in and around recess the others are OK looks like someone in the past has given it a good bash to get it out. Found a site in States remanufactures in stainless $24 plus postage

how badly pitted is it?,, even really bad ones come up pretty good, with a bit of plastic scourer pad, even steel wool above the o-ring line, and polish

Was just about to order new brake piston but thought Id ask if anyone has a caliper piston thats not wanted  Regards Brian Cooper
